Hi! I’m Erin Parker, a freelance editor, writing coach, and professional bookworm based in the greater Vancouver area.
I have worked in publishing since 2013 (including two years in-house at Penguin Random House Canada and HarperCollins Canada), though books have been my passion and livelihood for much longer.
I’ve become an empathetic collaborator and enthusiastic advocate for readers and authors by wearing many hats—as an editor, coach, writer, teacher, and scholar of literature.
Organized, thorough, and approachable, I’m a creative problem solver who always keeps both the tiny details and the bigger picture in focus no matter the project.
The services I offer include writing coaching, manuscript assessments, substantive editing, stylistic editing, and copy editing.
My specialties are trade fiction and non-fiction for adults and young readers. I’m comfortable working on paper or on screen, independently or with a team, and with publishers, literary agents, and independent authors.
